William L. Walker began his career with Cincinnati Milling Machine in 1937. After 14 years with Cincinnati Milling, Walker founded Walker Machinery in 1951 and was given a contract to run the local distributorship for Cincinnati in which he sold more than 2,000 manual and NC machines in 20 years.
Our History
The company grew through international market opportunities, which came from major expansions for large OEMs such as GE in the 1970s and 1980s. Peter Borden and Bruce Tillinghast purchased the company in 1993 and refocused on niche products from around the world. Soon after, they founded Pilsen Imports to sell products on a nationwide basis.
Today, Walker provides machine-tool solutions for the manufacturing industry, offering superior technology, engineering and application services, and product support services.
